Bio: I grew up in Sebastopol, a small town north of San Francisco. After graduating from Analy High School, I went to Santa Rosa Junior College where I spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy. When I returned to the states I transferred to UC San Diego and majored in physics. After college I took classes to be an EFL teacher, then spent a semester in Bulgaria teaching English to students at the Technical University of Sofia. After returning to California once again, I spent some time working as a carpenter and doing substitute teaching. I then enrolled in a graduate program at UC Berkeley and earned a MA in Science Education and Teaching Credential in Physics and Chemistry. I spent my first year teaching at Skyline High School in Oakland and a year at Aragon in San Mateo. At the beginning of the 2007 school year I moved to Davis and began teaching at Davis High. I love what I am doing and hope to continue for a long time. In my spare time I like to ride my bikes, hike, build stuff, cook, sew, and spend time with my wife. |
