endothermic/ exothermic reactions
This meeting was supposed to be about formative assessment. Diagnoser is a website that provides physics teachers with assessment questions to be used as pre/post assessments. They did provide us with several sample chemistry questions on heat which were useful. We also created a facet diagram about energy to help us design assessment questions. However, we found this meeting to be rather frustrating as the differences between physics and chemistry became increasingly clear. After looking back we think this helped us to again see the benefit of taking the time for formative assessment and having more informative questions. However, in terms of the lesson study, we think we spent a lot of time going back to our previous strategies and reflecting and revamping.
