systems
We expand on our lesson study by creating a 3 day lesson. The lesson plan included the central question "Why don’t we just always define a system as the universe and leave it at that?". Looking back, we realized that this question is ridiculous and that kids would have a very hard time trying to wrap their heads around such a huge idea. The lesson also included a project assessment where kids would build a Rube Goldberg Machine and explain the energy transformations. While we don't include the systems ideas, we both still use the Rube Goldberg assessment in some form.
